Designing a way in for a new audience in an established inn
The old meets the new
A local brand comes under new management, an opportunity to draw new customers rises.
My second commercial project. I was hired to re-brand an inn under new ownership, and design and produce a functional website, with accordance to the client’s feedback and guidelines.
I worked closely with The Ship to craft a new brand identity which brought in a fresh modern look, whilst upholding the classic rustic feel. We then designed and created the website to help engage with all audiences.

Old meets new
This was a long and interesting, but more importantly very educational process. The client asked for a product that does not forget the origins of their newly purchased establishement, but has a breath of fresh air to it. The logo needed to have elements that would please long standing customers, and be more inviting to new ones. My aim was to combine the original banner of the inn, featuring a sailing ship – and use modern and contemporary trends and aesthetical methods to achieve this goal. I think that the logo speaks for this quite well, and the client’s approval seems to confirm this.
